Lately some of us have experience crashes on connecting to our COD WaW custom map server. I have also run into this problem. The fist time I deleted all my custom maps, but it sucks to have to do that.
I deleted the newest maps one by one and. There might be other maps causing this. So if you experiance this suddently, then delete all of you latest maps!
They are found in: C:\Documents and Settings\"PC USERNAME"\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\usermaps
